The pool managers and lifeguards are responsible for enforcing the Club Rules that were designed by the board of directors to provide for your safety, health, and comfort while on club grounds. Since the pool managers and lifeguards are responsible for enforcing the rules, they are als given the authority to take necessary measures to enforce the rules. The pool managers and your board of directors will welcome all suggestions for smoother operation of the pool area.
I.FACILITY Members must register themselves and guests and pay at registration. Guest fees: Swimmer - $5, Non Swimmer - $3 Pool guest are limited to a maximun of 2 times per month, not to exceed 8 times per year. * Guests residing outside Union and Mecklenburg counties may use the facilities free of charge when accompanied by a member.
2. Guest residing within the household of a member has the same privileges as dependents. 3. Babysitters accompanying club member’s children are treated as dependents. 4. Potential new members may have one free use of the facilities. 5. Guests under 18 years old will be required to wear a numbered wrist band. Any one guest is limited to 8 visits per year.
II.SANITATION
1. State law requires that a soap shower must be taken before entering the swimming pool 2. Parents should encourage their children to use toilet facilities before entering the swimming and wading pools. 3. Only attire designed for bathing will be allowed in the swimming pool. 4. No chewing gum is permitted in the pool area. 5. Union County Health Department rules and regulations concerning bathing places govern this swimming pool’s safety and sanitation. 6. No pets are allowed on the club grounds. 7. Persons are required to dispose of their trash in the containers provided. 8. No food will be allowed past the painted black line on the pool deck.
III.SAFETY
1. Running, pushing, dunking or other horseplay is not allowed in or out of the pool. 2. Non-swimmers must be accompanied by a responsible person while in the swimming area and are not allowed in the diving area. 3. Floating devices and water sports equipment are not allowed in the diving area and are allowed in the swimming area only when the safety of the swimmers is not endangered. 4. The diving area is for diving only. One person at a time is allowed on a diving board. Hanging under a diving board and excessive boarding invites a broken head and is not allowed. Dives and jumps must be taken straight off the end of the board. 5. Wading pool safety is the responsibility of the using child’s parent(s) or guardian. The wading pool is for children five years and under. Plastic pants are required for non-toilet trained children in the wading pool. 6. No glass containers are allowed inside the pool fence. 7. The pool will not be used if guards are not in attendance. 8. All injuries and any health hazards noted will be reported immediately to the pool manager on duty. 9. Feet first down the slide. Only one (1) person at a time. NO catching at botom of slide. Swimmer must be able to swim to side of pool in order to use the slide. 10. All pool toys must be soft and flexible. 11. NO rough play in the shallow (2 ft) area of pool. 12. NO hanging on ropes or lane lines. 13. During adult swim all swimmers under 18 years old must be out of the water and off the steps.
IV.GENERAL RULES
1. The pool manager on duty has the authority to close the pool in inclement weather. 2. Property damage through negligence will be charged to the responsible member. 3. The club is not responsible for member’s personal property. 4. Bicyclists and motorists will drive carefully on club property and will park in prescribed areas. 5. Objectionable language will not be tolerated. 6. Adults may use the lane line to swim laps during the non-peak hours.
